Strong Climb to Third Place Finish in Division Geoff Musick made impressive strides during the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent. Improving significantly from his 2024 performance, Geoff finished the race with an elapsed time of 2:52:46, a noteworthy advancement from his previous time of 3:08:10. This improvement of over 15 minutes highlights his progress and training efforts over the past year. Maintaining an average pace of 12:55 min/mile, Geoff showed resilience and strategic pacing throughout the challenging 13.36-mile course, securing the 3rd place position in his O35-39 division category. The race splits detail key strengths. Notably, Geoff climbed positions to finish 34th overall. His initial split from Ruxton at a rapid 6:27 min/mile indicated a strong start. The crucial final miles above treeline saw pace adjustments to 18:56 min/mile, a typical strategic change given the elevation and conditions.
