Consistent Pacing to Summit Success Brandon Bishop completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 4:22:27. Covering a distance of 13.36 miles, he maintained an average pace of 19:38 minutes per mile. Starting the race in position 1243 overall, he made significant progress, finishing 574th among 2049 participants and 431st in the open gender category. Remarkably, Brandon's placement improved as he scaled the elevation, which varied from 6303 feet at the start to 14061 feet at the finish. The early splits showed a fast start at Ruxton with a split pace of 9:58 per mile over the first 0.43 miles. The middle sections, such as Barr Camp (10250 feet elevation), demonstrated increasing efficiency with a split pace of 15:29. However, final stretches were more challenging; the last mile from "1 Mile To Go" to the finish was covered with a 26:23 pace amid the high altitude. Incremental pace adjustments in high elevations could be critical for further advancing his finish positions.
