Consistent Climb with Notable Improvement Lawrence Wilson completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in 5:04:44, showcasing a commendable improvement from his previous run in 2024 at the same event, where his time was 5:29:17. He maintained an average pace of 22:48 minutes per mile over the 13.36-mile course, faster than last year’s pace of 24:38 minutes per mile. Particularly noteworthy, Lawrence moved up in his O65-69 division from 22nd to 19th place, showing clear advancement in his performance. Starting steady, Lawrence progressed consistently, fortifying his position through various elevation checkpoints. The “Ruxton” split saw him gain early ground with a 10:42 pace. Even with the challenging rise in elevation, he maintained a remarkable effort, particularly from the "1.5 Miles To Go" mark, achieving a notable rank improvement.
