Phenomenal Progress with Improved Pace Brad Holway, 62, from Manitou Springs, CO, made significant improvements in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon. Recording an elapsed time of 4:34:00, he enhanced his performance from last year's 5:54:32. His pace improved dramatically to 20:30 min/mile from 26:32 min/mile. Though starting at the 1287th position, Brad finished 696th overall, demonstrating a strategic climb through the ranks. Despite the increasing altitude, Brad maintained a consistent pace during the early to middle segments, peaking at a 16:52 min/mile pace between miles 6.05 and 7.91, showing notable strength and endurance at 10,250 feet. The final stretch saw a natural slowdown, with the last split completed at 27:33 min/mile as he approached 14,061 feet. His progress since last year, climbing 645 positions overall and improving 30 spots in the O60-64 division, highlights his determination and resilience in tackling the course.
