Jennifer's Resilient Climb Jennifer Lamont of Albuquerque, NM, finished the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an official time of 5:01:25, covering 13.36 miles at an average pace of 22:33 min/mile. Her performance placed her 42nd in the Female 40-44 division and 297th among female participants. Starting the race strong, she held a division position of 19 at the Start, illustrating her initial vigor and readiness for the challenging course ahead. Notably, Jennifer showed an admirable degree of persistence in the latter stages of the race. Her pace was relatively steady until the elevation gain past Barr Camp, where she tackled climbs beyond 10,000 feet. Despite facing a significant elevation challenge in the final mile, where her split pace slowed to 33:43 min/mile, she completed the climb to the summit successfully. Evaluating pacing strategy in the higher elevations could present opportunities for future improvement in tackling such terrain.
