Consistent Effort Over High Elevation Challenges Mark Crimm completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an official time of 5:49:55. Averaging 26:11 minutes per mile over the 13.36-mile course, Mark made his way from an elevation of 6303 feet to a summit of 14,061 feet. He maintained a steady and consistent effort throughout, managing to improve position within his age division from the start to the end of the race, from 79th to 149th. Notably, Mark demonstrated resilience through the toughest splits, particularly from "1 Mile To Go" to "Finish," where his split pace ranged from 38:13 to 41:19 minutes per mile. The challenging conditions as he approached the summit saw the steepest elevation gains and slowest paces, yet Mark stayed consistent relative to the field by achieving an overall position of 1371 out of 2049 participants.
