Steady Climb with Strong Mid-Race Improvement Kami Banks completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in an elapsed time of 3:48:01. She maintained an average pace of 17:04 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course, achieving 6th place in the F45-49 division. Throughout the race, Kami positioned herself within the top third overall, placing 273rd out of 2049 participants. Notably, Kami improved her position significantly from the start, advancing from 19th to 6th in her division from Hydro Street to Barr Camp. She demonstrated a strong mid-race performance, especially between the 4.48 and 7.91-mile marks, where her pace remained between 13:46 and 14:10 min/mile. The most challenging part appeared to be the final three miles above the tree line, where the pace ranged from 21:21 to 24:09 min/mile due to steep elevation gains.
