Consistent High-Altitude Performance with Notable Early Pace Evelyn Kronlage, a 20-year-old from Colorado Springs, completed the Pikes Peak Ascent in 3:59:04, covering the 13.36-mile distance with an average pace of 17:53 min/mile. Evelyn's overall rank was 349 out of 2,049 participants, and she secured the 13th spot in the F20-24 division. Her early splits, specifically the 0.43-mile Ruxton segment, were impressive with a pace of 7:55, showcasing strong energy and strategy at the onset. Comparing Evelyn's performance to her previous race in 2024, where she finished in 3:58:01, her consistency in high-altitude racing is worth noting. While her final time slightly increased, her ability to maintain a strong position throughout the course is commendable. The incremental elevation from 6,303 feet to 14,061 feet was tackled effectively, although the pace slowed in the latter stages above the treeline.
