Strong Climb Showcased with Consistent Effort Victoria Zhang tackled the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, covering 13.36 miles with an elapsed time of 5:07:31, translating to an elapsed pace of 23:01 min/mile. Throughout the ascent from 6,303 feet to 14,061 feet, Victoria began strong, recorded at 8:24 min/mile in the first 0.43 miles, suggesting a robust start. Her best segment was the initial 0.43 miles, where she secured 81st place among females. As the course progressed, specifically after Barr Camp (7.91 miles), Victoria's pace understandably slowed, clocking a final 0.5257 miles split at 39:16 min/mile. For future endeavors, focusing on pacing strategies in the later miles could lead to improvement in overall performance. Victoria's strength and perseverance were demonstrated by maintaining a position in the top half of her division throughout most of the race, finishing 24th in the F20-24 division.
