Steady Climb with Strong Mid-Race Performance Tabea Morrison completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in a noteworthy time of 5:40:16, maintaining a steady pace despite the elevation gain. Starting at 6303 feet, she quickly scaled the first 0.43 miles with an impressive 11:43 min/mile pace. Tabea's consistent performance is reflected in her mid-race splits; at Barr Camp (mile 7.91), her pace was a solid 16:20 min/mile, her fastest of the entire course. Above tree line, the race intensified, and Tabea navigated these sections with persistence. Her splits from the 10.29-mile mark at A-Frame exhibited endurance, with steady pacing through to the finish. Crossing the 14,061-foot summit marked her completion of a demanding course. Tabea improved her placement significantly during the last 2.5 miles, showcasing her endurance and determination. Focusing on maintaining a more consistent pace in the final three miles could further enhance her performance.
