Exceptional Climb to Top Division Finish Noreen Griffin, 56, from Monument, CO, delivered a noteworthy performance in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon. Tackling 13.36 miles, she secured a 5th place finish in the Female 55-59 division with an elapsed time of 4:36:00. Starting strong, Noreen found herself in the top 10 of her division at the start line, ultimately maintaining this position through the challenging ascent to the summit. Her pacing started at 14:28 min/mile in the early stages and understandably decreased as she reached higher elevations, concluding with a final mile pace of 29:23 min/mile. Noreen's splits indicate a competitive edge in maintaining placement, notably moving into 2nd place within her division at the "1.5 Miles To Go" mark. Although pacing slowed above the tree line, the consistent effort on steeper segments was key to her standing. Focusing on speed consistency could enhance future performances further.
