Strong Start and Steady Climb Leah Christians completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with a time of 3:08:43, covering 13.36 miles at an impressive average pace of 14:07 min/mile. The ascent from 6303 to 14061 feet showcased her endurance and pacing skills. Leah achieved notable placements, finishing 10th in the female category and 2nd in the F20-24 division, out of a total of 2049 participants. Her race began strongly with a 7:01 pace at Ruxton and maintained good momentum to reach the Top of W's at 33:07. As the elevation increased, Leah adapted and kept a consistent effort, evidenced by reaching Barr Camp in 1:28:42 with an 11:16 pace and solidifying the 6th position across multiple splits. The final three miles, starting at A-Frame, presented challenges of altitude and steepness, slowing her pace to between 17:44 and 19:46. Continued focus on high-altitude endurance could yield even more remarkable results in future races.
