Consistent Start, Perseverance to the Finish Preston Granzin completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with a total elapsed time of 5:22:37 over a challenging 13.36-mile course, finishing with an impressive ascent of over 7,500 feet from start to finish. He maintained an average pace of 24:08 minutes per mile, finishing 1190th out of 2049 participants. In the Male Open category, he secured 814th place overall and 129th in the 30-34 age group division. Preston started the race strongly, placing 154th among male participants at the start with a pace of 9:10 at Ruxton. As the course elevation increased, his pace adjusted accordingly, reaching a split pace of 43:46 in the final stretch. The high-elevation segments proved challenging, particularly from the A-Frame at 11,933 feet, where Preston navigated much slower paces, demonstrating resilience as he steadily progressed to the summit finish.
