Impressive Climb with Notable Steady Pace Richard Bennett completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 3:34:44, covering 13.36 miles at an average pace of 16:04 minutes per mile. Ascending over 8,000 feet in elevation, he maintained a steady position throughout the race, finishing 184th overall out of 2049 participants. Notably, he achieved 8th place in the competitive 45-49 age division. Strong early pace was evident, as he hit the Ruxton checkpoint at 7:36 pace and Hydro Street at 9:13 pace, achieving 4th in his division at that stage. The final miles above treeline saw an anticipated pace slowdown, including a 25:11 pace to the finish. Checkpoints such as "1.5 Miles To Go" marked some of his stronger ascents relative to others, showing resilience and consistent effort at high altitude.
