Consistent Improvement and Strong Division Placement Lauren Massey completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 3:48:24. This reflects a considerable improvement from last year's performance, reducing her time by 16 minutes and 56 seconds from the 2024 race (4:05:20). Her overall pace was 17:05 min/mile, while her best split pace was 8:47 at the Ruxton checkpoint. She placed 8th in her division (F35-39), and 57th among all females, a substantial improvement over last year’s placement in both division and gender categories. Her strategic start from the Ruxton checkpoint significantly improved her race standing, moving up from 1431st to 479th overall. Lauren showed resilience in maintaining strong positioning despite challenging conditions after Barr Camp, where the elevation approached 14,000 feet. Maintaining or improving her pace in the later stages could further enhance her performance in future races.
