Strong Finish at High Altitude: A Steady Climb Michaela Swain completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent in 3:38:59, covering a distance of 13.36 miles with an overall pace of 16:23 min/mile. Starting strong, Michaela quickly moved up in the rankings from the start, jumping from 443rd place to 359th by Ruxton. By the 6.05-mile mark at the 7.8 Summit, she maintained a consistent position, holding 241st overall, and 6th in her division. In the later stages, especially over the last challenging three miles above the tree line, Michaela continued to push forward. Her pace slightly decreased to 21:58 min/mile in the final stretch, finishing 214th overall. Notably, she ranked 44th among female participants and 8th in the F25-29 division. Maintaining strong splits despite the increasing elevation is commendable. Focusing on endurance in the upper altitudes could lead to even stronger finishes. Keep up the excellent work, Michaela!
