Consistent Performance with Slight Slowing Travis Green, 51, from Lincoln, NE completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 4:48:19, covering 13.36 miles at an average pace of 21:34 min/mile. He placed 852nd overall out of 2049 participants and 52nd in his O50-54 division. Travis started strongly, with a swift pace of 9:33 in the first 0.43 miles. However, his pace began to slow after the 8.77-mile mark at Bottomless Pit, reaching a split pace of 22:55 as elevation increased. Compared to his 2024 Pikes Peak Ascent, Travis showed a slight increase in overall time by 3 minutes and 30 seconds. While his pacing in the early stages remain consistent, sustaining his pace in the later stages could be a focus. Despite the high altitudes and tough conditions, Travis maintained a steady effort, especially notable in the last mile with an elevation of 13,329 feet and a split pace of 28:10.
