Consistent Climb to the Summit Scott completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in 4:05:05, covering a distance of 13.36 miles. The tough trail pushed his pace to an average of 18:20 minutes per mile, with an impressive gain in elevation from 6303 feet to 14061 feet at the finish line. Starting strong, Scott placed 958th at the beginning but significantly improved his position, ultimately finishing 404th overall out of 2049 participants, and ranking 44th in his division. The splits show Scott's strategic pacing. His fastest pace of 8:48 min/mile was during the initial 0.43 miles at Ruxton. However, as expected in the challenging ascent above tree line, his pace slowed, reaching 25:58 min/mile in the final stretch to the summit. Notably, Scott secured his best division placement in the "1.5 Miles To Go" marker, climbing to 22nd, highlighting his steady progress and resilience during the high-altitude segment.
