Consistent Improvement in Pikes Peak Ascent Jeff, a 62-year-old from Colorado Springs, improved his Pikes Peak Ascent performance significantly in 2025, wrapping up the challenging course with an elapsed time of 5:56:20 and an average pace of 26:40 minutes per mile. This marked a notable improvement from his 2024 time of 6:28:57, reflecting a decrease in average pace of 2:26 minutes per mile. His overall placement improved from 1499 to 1418 among 2049 participants. Jeff's splits show a strong start; he maintained a pace below 20 minutes per mile until 6.05 miles. The climb above 10,000 feet presented challenges, with a notably slowed pace of 47:26 minutes per mile between Bottomless Pit and A-Frame. The steep ascent tested his endurance and pacing in the final miles.
