Notably, Christin improved her time by over six minutes compared to her previous performance in the 2024 event, where she had an elapsed time of 4:10:42. Analyzing her splits, Christin's initial mile, averaging around 10:33 min/mile, allowed her to conserve energy for the race's notorious ascent. The race's final stretch above the tree line was significantly slower, peaking at a 25:01 min/mile pace in the last half-mile.
