Significant Progress and Steady Climbs in Elevation Colleen Darnell, hailing from Ft Mitchell, KY, showed remarkable improvement at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent. Her total time of 4:18:20 for the 13.36-mile course marked a significant progression from her previous year's 5:07:56, achieving an elapsed pace of 19:20 min/mile compared to the prior 23:02 min/mile. Colleen finished 15th in her F40-44 division, advancing from 40th place last year. She showed consistency and managed to gain better placements throughout her run, spotlighted by her performance at the "1.5 Miles To Go" split where she was notably ranked 263rd overall. Colleen maintained a balanced pace across various points, including a swift 8:57 min/mile at the initial 0.43-mile Ruxton split.
