Steady Progress, Strong Finish at High Elevation Brandon Lam of Yukon, OK tackled the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with determination, completing the half marathon distance of 13.36 miles in 5:55:43 with an elapsed pace of 26:37 min/mile. The race began at 6303 feet elevation, eventually climbing to an impressive 14,061 feet at the finish. His strongest position was at the start, ranking 275th overall and 8th in his division for the 45-49 age group. As the course intensified, particularly in the last three miles above the tree line, his overall ranking shifted to 1414th out of 2049 participants. Notable performance highlights included Brandon’s perseverance through all challenging segments. His progress was especially significant at the 'Bottomless Pit' where he climbed to 1263rd overall. While his overall position fluctuated, his effort was evident in maintaining a consistent push during the final ascent.
