Consistent Determination Through Challenging Altitude Eric Nichols competed in the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon, finishing with an elapsed time of 6:41:56. Over a distance of 13.36 miles, Eric maintained an average pace of 30:05 min/mile. The course began at an elevation of 6303 feet and culminated at 14061 feet, featuring the last three miles above the treeline. Eric's position at the start was 1340th overall, and he finished 1613th out of 2049 participants. Focusing on Eric's splits, his early segments were notably stronger. He achieved a split pace of 10:22 min/mile at the Ruxton checkpoint. As elevation increased, Eric's pace adjusted accordingly, with particular steadiness from Barr Camp through to the finish line, where split paces ranged from 37:24 to 55:02 min/mile.
