Consistent Effort on a Grueling Ascent Jessica Shvedov successfully completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 4:28:52, covering the 13.36-mile distance with an average pace of 20:07 min/mile. She placed 21st in the women's 45-49 division. Starting strong in the early stages, Jessica maintained a stable position through the early segments, raising her rank in her division from 27th to 19th between the start and the 3.2-mile mark at the Top of W's. Her progress emphasizes her determination as she tackled the significant elevation gain. In the final three miles above tree line, a particularly challenging section of the course, Jessica's pace naturally slowed, but she maintained focus. Passing from "1.5 Miles to Go" to "Finish", her split pace ranged from 29:24 to 31:14 min/mile. Placing 160th in her gender category among 2049 participants highlights her ability to navigate altitude challenges efficiently. Focusing on the later stages of this course could offer opportunities to shave off some additional time.
