Consistent Mid-Pack Performance with Strong Finish Near 14000 Feet Jack Ainsworth completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an elapsed time of 5:50:54 over a distance of 13.36 miles, averaging a pace of 26:15 min/mile. His performance maintained consistency across different challenging elevations and terrain, starting at 6303 feet and concluding at a peak of 14061 feet. He finished 1375th overall out of 2049 participants, and 121st in his division for ages 40-44. Jack's splits reveal a robust effort in the latter halves, particularly evident at the "1.5 Miles To Go" point where he briefly improved to a division place of 64th before finishing 121st in his division. Noticeably, his pace slowed in the last mile as he tackled an elevation gain to over 13000 feet—common given high-altitude conditions. Going forward, an emphasis on high-elevation training may offer improvements in the final stretch of such events.
