Steady Progress and Dominant Finish Sean O'Connor's performance at the 2025 Ogden Marathon was marked by an impressive display of speed and consistency. Maintaining an overall average pace of 5:27 min/mile, Sean took the top spot with a finishing time of 2:23:12. Notably, he performed a strong negative split, speeding up in the latter half of the race—particularly during miles 19 and 22, registering his fastest splits of 5:16 and 5:11 min/mile, respectively. Starting the race with a solid 5:31 min/mile pace for the first mile, Sean quickly moved to the lead by the second mile. His consistent pacing was highlighted by 13 miles finished under 5:30 min/mile pace. Sean's ability to maintain his pace and finish strong amid the competition is commendable. One area to enhance performance might be sustaining that faster pace seen in middle stages through the closing miles to replicate those under 5:20 splits.
