Consistent Pace Leads to Top Division Finish Isaac Hansen delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Ogden Marathon 5K. His splits were remarkably consistent, starting with a 6:52 min/mile in the first mile, maintaining a steady pace throughout the race. By the second mile, he clocked a 6:54 min/mile, and remarkably improved his pace in the third mile to 6:34 min/mile. This progressive pace increase contributed to his strong finish with an overall pace of 6:41 min/mile. Isaac secured 1st place in his division (M25-29), and was 7th overall out of 655 participants. His progress throughout the race shows his exceptional pacing ability, especially as his final mile was his fastest. Strategically, sustaining the initial pace and then making a push in the final mile worked well. Focusing on maintaining this end-of-race speed could enhance overall performance in future racing events.
