Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish The Blacker/Card relay team delivered a solid performance at the 2025 Ogden Marathon. They demonstrated consistent pacing throughout most of the race, starting with a couple of splits around the 7:30 min/mile mark and gradually building momentum with their fastest split at mile 11, clocking an impressive 6:39 min/mile. Their pacing strategy moved them up in the standings, peaking at the top spot during the mid-race. While the speed tapered towards the end, with a noticeable slowing at mile 25 to 12:20 min/mile, they still completed the marathon strong with an overall time of 3:35:23. The team can be pleased with maintaining a sub-8:30 min/mile average pace over the 26.2 miles. As a mixed-gender team, their ability to place within the top five overall is commendable. Continued focus on maintaining consistent pace in the latter miles could further enhance their performance in future events.
