Strong Start, Gradual Slowdown, with Overall Strong Performance Relay team "Not Fast but Furious" from Pocatello, ID, delivered an impressive performance in the 2025 Ogden Marathon. The team started strongly, with the first seven miles averaging a pace under 6:34 min/mile, distinctly positioning them in the lead. Mile 3 was their fastest at 6:25 min/mile. However, the pace decreased slightly in the latter stages of the race. Notably, from mile 10 onwards, split times increased consistently, with the most substantial pace drop occurring between miles 24 and 26, ending with a 12:47 min/mile split. The team finished the marathon in 3:53:13, achieving an average pace of 8:54 min/mile. Although they started strong, a slowdown occurred, especially in later miles when split times exceeded 9:00 min/mile. Encouragingly, they secured a solid overall position of 8th out of 51 teams, and 6th in their gender division. Consider strategies to maintain pacing consistency in future events for enhanced results.
