Consistent Start, Strong Finish in Marathon Relay Relay 5 Wives from Clinton, UT, demonstrated consistent pacing and positioning throughout the course of the 2025 Ogden Marathon. Beginning strong, they recorded an impressive 7:12 min/mile pace within the first mile. Maintaining a consistent pace initially, the team's first five miles were completed with minimal fluctuations, staying under 7:24 min/mile. Their highest pace occurred between miles 7 and 8, with the team splitting a 9:54 min/mile. While their pace slightly declined over the latter miles, resulting in an overall pace of 9:37 min/mile, the team expertly managed to maintain their standing, finishing 3rd in their gender category. The team as a whole only dropped a few positions across the race, finishing 16th out of 51 participants. Maintaining the initial pace throughout more of the race could be something to explore to further boost their rankings. Overall, the performance was commendable with room to fine-tune the pacing strategy for even better results.
