Consistent Pacing Secures a Strong Finish Jakob Tew, age 25 from Salt Lake City, UT, delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Ogden Marathon, finishing with a total time of 2:25:41. Maintaining an average pace of 5:33 min/mile, he secured 2nd place overall out of 1,558 participants. Throughout the marathon, Jakob initially took the lead within the first mile with a split time of 5:30 but maintained between 2nd and 3rd place for the majority of the race. Analyzing the splits, Jakob showed consistency with slight fluctuations, such as a notable surge to a 5:19 split in mile 22. While he experienced a slowed pace in the final stretch with a 5:57 in mile 25, his resilience kept him in a strong position.
