Consistent Start, Strong Finish Kentaro maintained an impressive pace in the first half of the race, with consistent sub-8 minute miles, peaking with a 7:41 on mile 6. His pacing displayed a well-managed effort as he progressed through the race, keeping an average of around 7:56 min/mile for most of the run. Notably, the first few miles showed strong placement, consistently in the top 210 for his gender and division. The second half showed a gradual pace decrease, with the slowest mile at 10:49 on the 23rd mile. Despite the slowdown, Kentaro finished his marathon with a final time of 3:39:55 and an average pace of 8:23 min/mile. While finishing strong overall, there's potential to enhance the pace during the later stages of the race to maintain early momentum. Focusing on endurance training could help avoid the late-race decline, as evidenced by the split times.
