Smooth Pacing Secures Top Honor in 8 Mile Performance Skyler White, a 16-year-old runner from Stansbury Park, UT, showcased exceptional pacing strategy and endurance at the 2025 Ogden Marathon 8 Mile event. Skyler maintained a consistent average pace of 6:00 min/mile, finishing the race in an impressive time of 49:00. Notably, splits ranged from 6:11 in the first mile to an outstanding 5:48 by the fourth mile, demonstrating a strong acceleration mid-race. Skyler's controlled and strategic pacing was evident, particularly in the third and fourth miles with paces dropping to sub-6-minute miles, clocking in at 5:56 and 5:48 respectively. Although there was a slight deceleration in the final mile, Skyler still managed to sustain top speed across the finish line.
