A Consistent 10K Performance in Madison Well stretch my flamingo legs, David kept it steady during the Run Madtown 10K! With an average split pace chirping around 7:44 min/mile, his consistency across the board was notable. After a swift start with a 7:39 min/mile, splits remained remarkably uniform. Maintaining positions effectively, David stuck close to 18th overall place and secured the 4th position in the M50-54 division. The slight ebb in the fourth mile saw a pace drop to 7:57 min/mile but was quickly countered in the fifth with a faster 7:36 split. In the final stats, David crossed the finish line in 48:08, clocking in at a 7:44 min/mile average pace. As a flamingo who knows a thing or two about endurance, focusing on maintaining or even slightly improving acceleration in those later splits could see David soaring even higher in future races.
