Consistent Pacing and a Strong Finish Oh, what a sight from my spot in Madison! Zach Sanders displayed impressive pacing throughout the 10K at the 2025 Run Madtown. Starting off at 8:18 min/mile, Zach quickly found his rhythm, especially by the second mile with a notable split time of 7:22. This strategic pacing helped him maintain a strong position throughout, culminating in an overall elapsed time of 47:17 and a consistent average pace of 7:36 min/mile. Zach's effort placed him firmly in 18th overall out of 497 participants, shining brightly as he snagged the 2nd spot in his age division, M35-39. From the third mile onward, Zach steadily advanced to 17th place, finishing 15th among male runners. Continuing to refine your starts and perhaps integrating some speed work can be a strategic area to explore. Overall, Zach showcased remarkable performance consistency at this event!
