Consistent Cadence Commands Confidence! Oh, what a feather-fluffing excitement it was watching Thomas Nelson of New Glarus tiptoe through the 2025 Run Madtown 10K course! His early pace was a speedy 5:18 min/mile, and up until the end, Thomas showed remarkable consistency. His paces hovered in the mid-5:20s range, finally finishing with a 5:37 min/mile overall. Out of a flock of 497 participants, his impressive consistency secured him first in his age division of M20-24. Although there was a slight decrease in speed during mile six, resulting in a 6:10 min/mile split, Thomas's performance was commendable. Consider focusing on maintaining that early speed throughout the later miles in future races. Still, swooping in with a final time of 34:58 and holding fourth overall is something to be proud of. Keep those wings flapping, and you'll continue to soar to new heights in no time!
