Strong Performance in Combined Distances Veronica Valdez-Bobadilla delivered a commendable performance at the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach race, tackling the 5K and 10K Combo Challenge. She completed the 9.3-mile distance with an impressive time of 1:34:50, averaging a pace of 10:11 min/mile. Impressively, she secured a 9th place overall finish out of 42 participants and placed 2nd in her F50-54 division. This result shows significant endurance and consistency across both short and long distances. Compared to her previous races like the Beachfront 5K, where she clocked a pace of 9:48 min/mile, Veronica maintained a consistent pace close to her prior 10K effort, where her pace was 10:23 min/mile over a shorter distance. With a slight pace improvement compared to her previous 10K, her endurance has positively affected her performance. Continuing to focus on pace consistency, especially over varied distances, could yield even better results in future events.
