Remarkable Division Finish in 5K & Marathon Combo Challenge Rene Varela delivered an impressive performance in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach race, achieving a time of 4:46:14 over a 29.3-mile course. His overall pace was 9:46 per mile, which secured him 19th place overall out of 62 participants. Notably, Rene finished 13th among male competitors and took an outstanding 2nd place in the M55-59 division. These accomplishments highlight significant growth compared to his prior marathon performance this same year. Reviewing his progression, Rene has improved significantly since his previous marathon at the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach event, where he ranked 50th in the same division.
