Exceptional Performance in Combo Challenge Matt Hall delivered an outstanding performance in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach 5K & Marathon Combo Challenge, securing second place overall and in his gender category. Impressively, he claimed the top position in the M30-34 age division. Completing the 29.3-mile distance in 3:13:52, he maintained a consistent pace of 6:37 min/mile. Comparison with his previous races reveals notable improvements. In the marathon segment, he notably enhanced his division ranking from 13th to 1st and overall placement from 50th to 2nd. His pace decreased slightly from 6:31 min/mile in the 2025 marathon to 6:37 min/mile while maintaining significant consistency across a longer distance. There’s an opportunity for refinement, as Matt aims to further optimize his splits for even performance gains. Engaging further in targeted pace training may assist him in breaking new personal records in the future.
