Steady Start with Mid-Race Fluctuations Friederike von Danwitz delivered a solid performance at the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon. Starting strong, she maintained a consistent pace for the first three miles, with her fastest split of 10:58 min/mile at mile four. However, mile five presented a challenge, with a significant slowdown to a 16:06 min/mile pace. Despite this, she demonstrated resilience by regaining her pace to around 12:03 min/mile from miles six to ten. Her overall pace averaged 12:19 min/mile. A slight decline was noted again just before the final stretch, with a split time of 13:45 min/mile at mile eleven. However, Friederike finished strong with a faster final split of 11:56 min/mile, crossing the line with an official time of 2:41:29. Notably, she showed improvement in the second half, an area to leverage for future races. Great effort as part of the Jetlag Joggers team.
