Steady Progress with Opportunities to Refine Pace Richard Little's performance in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon showcased resilience and steady pacing throughout the race. He finished with an overall time of 2:43:15, maintaining an average pace of 12:27 minutes per mile over the 13.1-mile distance. Noteworthy is his first mile, completed in 8:42, representing his fastest split. The latter miles indicated some deceleration, particularly miles 12 (15:09) and 13 (15:54), which affected the overall pace. This pattern presents an opportunity to focus on sustaining pace in the final miles. Richard placed 36th in his M50-54 division, out of 36, while finishing 567th in his gender category and 1248th out of 1697 overall. An impressive aspect of his run was the consistent pace maintained for a significant portion, particularly between miles 6 and 11.
