Consistent Performance with Room for Strategic Pacing Michael Silva completed the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon with an overall time of 2:23:14 and an average pace of 10:56 min/mile. Notably, his early splits were strong, clocking a 9:54 min/mile for the first mile and maintaining a sub-10-minute pace for four of the initial six miles. He achieved his fastest split during the 4th mile at 9:41 min/mile, showcasing his potential for maintaining a steady and energetic start. As the race progressed, his pace gradually declined, reaching 12:07 min/mile at mile 11. It might be beneficial for Michael to implement even pacing or negative splits in future races to help maintain a steadier pace throughout. Overall, Michael placed 24th in his M55-59 division out of 24 participants and 1022nd overall out of 1697 participants. Team Whittier Pacers supported him through this journey, and his efforts are commendable.
