Consistent Pace With Strong Finish Brian Lantos from Ventura, CA participated in the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon, demonstrating an admirable performance. Starting the race with a 9:37 min/mile pace, Brian experienced a moderate increase in time through the third mile, clocking an 11:25 min/mile split. However, he adjusted effectively, ultimately completing the race with an average pace of 8:57 min/mile. Of particular note, the last two miles were run at faster paces of 7:23 and 7:33 min/mile, showcasing a strong finishing kick. Overall, Brian placed 484th out of 1697 participants, securing the 47th position in the Male 35-39 age division. His efforts led to an impressive average pace, especially the critically swift final segments. Going forward, considering how he was able to finish faster, a strategy to maintain this speed earlier could be beneficial in future races. Well done, Brian!
