Steady Effort Through the Miles Colleen Kureghian, a 25-year-old runner from Porter Ranch, CA, had a consistent performance at the 2025 Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon. Starting with a strong 10:38 min/mile pace for the first mile, her pace slowed moderately over the course of the race, finishing with an average pace of 13:23 min/mile. Notably, her first mile was her fastest, clocking in at 10:38, while the 11th mile was her slowest at 16:33. Throughout the race, there was a gradual increase in mile split times. Her placements in the Female 25-29 division ranged from 91st after the first mile to 131st by the end. As her coach, I would suggest focusing on maintaining pace consistency in the mid-section of the race, particularly miles 4 to 10, where her split pace notably increased. This focus could help improve overall race efficiency and finish time in future events.
