Notably, he completed the final mile with his fastest split of 10:23. His strategic pacing helped him finish 416th overall out of 1,330 participants, and he was 62nd in the M30-34 division. Compared to his previous race at the same event in 2024, Rafael cut down his overall time by over five minutes, improving from a pace of 11:44 min/mile to 11:18 min/mile.
