Improved Splits and Steady Performance Jaime Chase demonstrated consistent improvement throughout the Joshua Tree Half Marathon. Starting with an initial pace of 14:40 min/mile, she managed to increase her speed as the race progressed. Notably, her fastest split was mile 8 at 12:44 min/mile. Overall, she maintained a commendable average pace of 13:57 min/mile over the duration of the 13.1-mile course. Her final time was 3:02:49. Chase displayed a strong ability to improve placement throughout the event. She moved up from 1003rd place overall in the first mile to finish at 805th. Her placements in her age division also improved, ending the race at 43rd for the F45-49 category. Focusing on maintaining her late-race pace improvements in future races could further enhance her results. Overall, Jaime Chase should be pleased with the marked progress in the latter half of her race.
