Consistent Improvement with a Strong Finish Chad Ponter delivered a solid performance at the 2025 Vacation Races | Joshua Tree Half Marathon. He completed the 13.1-mile course in 2:57:39, maintaining an average pace of 13:33 min/mile. Starting with a pace of 13:42 min/mile in the first mile, there was a gradual improvement, hitting a notable 12:22 min/mile at mile 5, showcasing his capacity to adapt and increase momentum as the race progressed. Chad's strategic pacing in the middle segments was commendable. He continually improved his placement, especially in his division M30-34, where he finished 89th out of the total participants. While miles 6 through 8 saw consistent sub-13-minute paces, the final mile was completed strongly at 13:15 min/mile. A slight slowdown occurred in mile 9 but was efficiently managed to maintain overall performance. He successfully finished 753rd overall and 399th among male participants, evidencing his competitive edge. Improving consistent mile pacing could further enhance results in future races.
