Consistent Pace with Notable Mid-Race Gains Eshwar Ranganath maintained a steady pace throughout the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, finishing with an official time of 2:22:41 and an overall average pace of 10:53 min/mile. Notably, Eshwar's performance saw a significant boost between miles 4 and 6, achieving split paces of 10:14 and 10:12 min/mile, respectively, which contributed to his gradual climb in rankings. His determination was evident as he improved his position from 3055th at mile 2 to finishing 2644th overall, out of 4907 participants. Consistency was key in the latter stages of the race, where Eshwar maintained almost even splits with slight deceleration only in mile 12, recording an 11:04 min/mile before concluding the race with an 11:52 min/mile in the final mile. As part of the UTHealth Houston team, his finish placed him 174th in the M20-24 division. Working on sustaining pace in the final miles could enhance future performances.
