Consistent Split Improvement Highlights Race Performance Jacob Rubio showcased a commendable performance at the 2025 UTHealth Houston Half Marathon with an overall time of 1:53:08. A notable observation is his consistent improvement in split times, particularly between miles 2 (8:47) and 3 (8:31). Maintaining an average pace of 8:38 min/mile, Jacob improved his position throughout the race, finishing in the top 25% overall, specifically placing 808th out of 2,516 male participants. In his division (M25-29), Jacob placed 155th out of 399, which indicates steady pacing and endurance. Jacob reached some of his fastest paces between miles 10 and 13, with his best split pace at mile 11 clocking in at 8:06. A strategic focus on maintaining the pace from mile 5 (7:09) could be beneficial for future races. Joining the Sexy Pace Running Club certainly seems to have paid dividends in his development as a runner.
