Consistent Performance with Strategic Pacing Cici Dixon demonstrated commendable consistency throughout the UTHealth Houston Half Marathon, maintaining an overall pace of 6:20 min/mile. Strong splits were particularly notable in the 3rd mile, where she achieved her quickest split pace of 5:05 min/mile. Additionally, she secured the top spot in her gender during the 5th mile, returning to second shortly afterwards but showing strategic fluctuation in her approach. By maintaining a tight pack with her competitors, Cici consistently placed 2nd in her division and gender, and finished 10th overall. With a finish time of 1:23:02, she performed impressively within the field of 36 participants. Opportunities exist for improving end-of-race pacing, as seen in the miles 11 through 13, where the pace dipped slightly. Cici's ability to adjust mid-race shows agility but focusing on minimizing slowdown in later portions could further enhance performance.
